Graduation and Arriving back Home/ What Now God?

Dear Friends,

It has been a little while since we've written last and that is because we have been going in so many different directions since arriving home three weeks ago. It has been a blessing to see so many friends and family the past few weeks. We both went into the previous season to simply learn. Learn more about who God is and who we are. But by the goodness of God we got taken so much deeper and further than we knew we would. To see people living faithfully depending on God to provide financially, physically, emotionally... in every way spoke louder than words at times.

The people and the culture we experience was so genuine and beautiful. Our eyes have definitely seen the glory of God in Costa Rica. While we miss local fresh markets, eating from a fresh garden, animal chores, beautiful scenery, palm trees, mountains, waterfalls and beaches we sure are glad to be home and have had fun trying to cook Costa Rican style dishes and sharing snacks we brought back for family and friends. Throughout our whole time there the Lord blessed us with such sweet, hardworking, funny and genuine dear friends (pictured above). We are so thankful and beyond encouraged by their simple daily lifestyle living for the Lord.

"This wasn't a mission trip... when you live your life on a mission, you don't have to take a trip to experience the goodness of God."

It's been such an adjustment getting back into our own different culture but we are so thankful for our family and friends who have been encouraging us back home. We know we have a unique purpose and are simply trusting the Lord for guidance. In the next season we are seeking to see the beauty in the unknown of where the Lord takes us.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The questions we have been asking the Lord. A question we are learning to re-phrase into what do you have for us today Lord? We all live day by day but it is so humbling to seek the Lord deeper daily and in that we've learned to not get so focused on the what of the matter but to go the Lord with open hands and simply BE. The Lord really truly knows what we need and will provide for us. It's been so sweet to see the Lord blessing us with family members offering us a place to stay and recently a friend letting stay in his Airbnb to debrief our time in Costa Rica for a week. Different opportunities such as construction work and dental assisting work for us have been revealed. As we lean into what the Lord has we are looking forward to serving within church, worships nights, and time with family and friends. What a blessed life we get to live!

Thank you to those that read our newsletters and supported us financially/in prayer during our time in CR. What a joyful time it was getting to get together with some our supporters (not pictured above) to share costa rican snacks and get into the detailed stories.

PRAYER POINTS

1. guidance for future

2. genuine transforming conversation would take place with friends/family

3. Lord would guide us where He wants us to serve within the church

May the Lord bless and keep you,

J&A
